Helpers sign up, reschedule, and get reminders on their own, no accounts needed. Nobody texts you to ask what you need.
What research points to
One question shapes the plan: what would make your next week feel more manageable?

A porch drop-off or a meal sent from afar can be the whole plan.

A dog walk or a small errand can take one ordinary task off the list.

A load of laundry or a cleared sink can make the whole house feel calmer.

A short call or a visit only in the times and ways the family opens.
Flexible help stays flexible

Friends who say, “Reach out for any little thing.” Nothing is scheduled for them. When something small comes up, you can text them directly, no questions asked.

A friend with a special talent can offer something you didn’t think to ask for. It joins the plan only if you approve it.
Questions
Helpers do not create an account. They open the private link the family sent them and use it in an ordinary phone browser, with nothing to install. If a helper loses the link, they check the original message or ask the family to send it again, because a household cannot be looked up from this page.
It works for whoever holds it, so the family decides who receives it. It is never listed publicly and never appears in search. An organizer can retire a link at any time, which ends the sessions that came from it. We cannot detect a link that has been forwarded, so retiring and resharing is the way to be certain.
Not until the family says the baby is home. Before that, helpers raise a hand for the kinds of help they want to offer without choosing a day. Real dates open at homecoming, and everyone who raised a hand gets one email telling them.
Yes, and they are a first-class part of the plan. Sending a meal, handling something online, and video check-ins all sit beside the nearby help rather than beneath it.
Yes. An organizer can retime or remove times, add a new one, and correct the homecoming date if the baby arrives early or late. Anyone who already signed up is told when their time moves. Nobody but the helper can give up a time they took.
