When Baby’s Home

Ways to help

Small, practical care counts.

Support does not have to be grand or nearby. A meal at the door, a quick dog walk, one errand, or ten quiet minutes on video can make a real day lighter.

01

Meal delivery

Warm food can arrive without turning dinner into a visit. Families can keep delivery details private until the right reminder.

02

Walk the dog

A short morning walk can take one recurring job off the household’s list.

03

Run an errand

Groceries, a pharmacy pickup, or one practical stop can be scheduled in a family-chosen window.

04

Video check-in

A far-away friend can offer company, listen, or keep a quiet virtual on-call window.

05

Visit the baby

Visits begin in Week 2 and happen only inside windows the family chose. Week 1 has no visitor slots.

06

Suggest something specific

A helper can offer one thing the family did not think to request. The family can accept or decline it without creating a date or task.

Nearby help

Care that needs someone close.

Dog walks, local errands, porch drop-offs, and family-chosen visits work best for people who can be there in person. Helpers can also join a nearby on-call bench without promising a date.

Help from afar

Distance does not make help less useful.

Far-away friends and relatives can arrange meal delivery, choose video check-ins, or join a virtual on-call bench. They use the same private household link and do not need an account.
